When Tara and Gus told us they wanted to do their engagement session at Good News Brewing Company in Defiance Mo, we had one thought: yes, please. Local beer? Cute couple? Endless photo ops? That’s basically the photography trifecta. As St. Louis engagement photographers, we’re always down for a unique location—especially one with cold drinks and good vibes.

Good News Brewing sits right next to a bike path, which meant we had tons of fun little pockets for photos—trees, trails, murals, beer taps—you name it. One minute we’re capturing sweet kisses on the patio, the next we’re shooting epic walking shots like it’s a rom-com set on a hiking trail with IPAs.

Tara and Gus are the kind of couple who make our job ridiculously easy. Their love is big, their smiles are bigger, and they somehow made sipping beer look like a romantic art form. (Seriously, someone call Guinness, because we might’ve just set a record for Most Adorable Brewery Engagement Shoot.)
