When Sam and Becky first reached out, they told us they were planning a low-key wedding with just close family and friends at Lafayette Park in St. Louis. Spoiler alert: it may have been “low-key,” but the vibes? Immaculate. The kind of day that makes your heart do little cartwheels.
Of course, Mother Nature heard "outdoor wedding" and said, “Oh? How about a little rain drama to spice things up?” For a minute there, we were all giving serious side-eye to the clouds. But somehow—maybe it was the sheer power of Sam and Becky’s love, or maybe the sky just didn’t want to mess with Becky’s hair—the rain held off just long enough for them to exchange vows. Talk about a rom-com moment.
As they said their “I do’s,” there wasn’t a dry eye in sight. (And for once, it wasn’t because of rain!) Family and friends were full-on dabbing their eyes, and yes, we were behind the camera pretending we weren’t also emotionally compromised.
